How Hospitals Are Improving Security & Patient Experience with Visitor Management Systems?

I’ve been researching how hospitals are handling visitor flow, especially with increasing footfall and strict compliance requirements. Managing visitors manually (registers, paper passes, etc.) seems outdated and risky—both from a security and patient safety perspective.

From what I’ve seen, a modern Visitor Management System helps hospitals control access to sensitive areas (like ICUs), track visitors in real time, and reduce crowding with faster check-ins. Features like pre-registration, ID verification, badge printing, and touchless entry are becoming standard in healthcare environments.

Also, having visibility into who is inside the facility at any given time is critical during emergencies or compliance audits.

Recently came across this solution:

It seems focused on healthcare-specific workflows like visitor tracking, security, and streamlined check-ins.

Curious to hear from others:

  • Are hospitals moving fully digital for visitor management?
  • What features matter most in real-world hospital environments?
  • Any tools that are working well for you?

Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
