Why 73% of Golfers Lower Their Score Faster Without Swing Tips

Most golfers believe the driver and iron swing are the problem. The data says otherwise.

Golf Academy surveyed 1,200 amateur golfers across 40 countries. The result? 73% lowered their handicap faster when they stopped chasing perfect swing mechanics and started focusing on course management, pre-shot routines, and feel-based practice.

Golf psychology matters more than most realize. Players who tracked fairways hit, greens in regulation, and putts per round improved by 4.2 strokes on average. Those who only practiced swing drills improved just 0.7 strokes.

The “Perfect Practice” methodology replaces mindless repetition with intentional drills.

Examples include: lag putting from 40 feet, 3-foot circle challenges, and up-and-down percentages from 30 yards.

  • No swing changes. No technical jargon. Just actionable strategies.
  • This is not a swing tip podcast. This is a golf improvement system.
  • Listen to all golf episodes just like “Feel is a Skill” on Golf Academy. Available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube Music.
